On June 25 and 26th, Dingbatz in New Jersey held the second annual NJ Metalfest, hosted by Bobby Blitz from Overkill and Tony Portaro from Whiplash, featuring local and national acts from the east coast to support the heavy metal music scene. As a New Jersey native, Jack Frost (Seven Witches, Bronx Casket Co, ex-Savatage) assembled a group of well know rockers from the area to play a set of covers on Sunday.
The Frost Metal Coalition featured Jack on guitars, with Zak Stevens (Savatage/Trans Siberian Orchestra) on vocals, Mike Lepond (Symphony X/ Lepond’s Silent Assassins) on bass, Alan Tecchio (Hades), Johnny Kelly - drums (Type O negative/Danzig), Charlie Calv on keyboards (Bronx Casket Co./Radio Exile), and local singers Andre Vanchot (XFactor) and Anthony Cross (Seven Witches).
Metal Asylum.net was at the rehearsals in New Jersey on Saturday and took some video of the guys playing the Savatage classic ‘Edge Of Thorns’ with Zak Stevens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EMfgj_iH14&feature=youtu.be
