Besides the fact that it’s a Live album, what makes this special is all the tracks were picked by the fans and the purpose of this tour was to feature those rarely played. All their albums are represented by a track including the Helloween classic “Victim of Fate” for good measure. I was lucky enough to be at Wacken Open Air 2003 and saw this same set list. Seeing and hearing 30,000 plus people singing along to “Heavy Metal Universe”, “Heart of the Unicorn” and “Heaven and Hell” makes owning this cd all the more enjoyable for me.

Although personally I think a couple choices could have been better, I still enjoy the overall presentation and find it important this part of their history was documented.

The sound quality is perfect, everything is nicely balanced with crowd noise only heard when need be and does not interfere with overall flow of each song.

Kai Hansen wrote the majority of Helloween’s music and created many classics in the process. When he left the band we were lucky enough to get two legendary bands out of the split. His work with both oufits is equally relevant to the past and present of Heavy Metal.
