I don’t know what it is with all these metalcore bands but every voice sounds the same. Mixed with the thrashy agro riffs are excruciating forced vocals with the clean vocal for the bridge and/or chorus. All these bands follow the God Forbid formula. Some of the music is decent and when its time for the clean voice its alright, and it adds some substance to the songs, but doesn’t make the song.

Really, this isn’t my cup of tea. I know I like a voice, something distinctive with melody. Noisy mallcore metal has selective artists I can somewhat listen to and enjoy but overall too much angst and no substance. Just angry and mad, but I guess that’s the appeal for the younger audiences.
