Much like contemporaries Gates Of Slumber, these Canucks meld their far-flung metal influences into a coherent mix that avoids easy classification. Somewhere between traditional power metal and proto-thrash, the key element remains an upbeat catchy melody, despite Cam Pipes' unique, eh pipes (from the Chris Boltendahl non-traditional school of acquired taste in yelps and shrieks). Decidedly old school fun (and loving it), there’s lots of galloping twin guitar harmonies/solos ('Silent Killer', 'Fierce Defender' and 'Call Of The Hammer') and references to posers, battle, and mythological creatures.

Out of nowhere comes the Southern swamp boogie of 'Preacher's Daughter'complete with backing keyboards and a cappella gang chorus. By the end it morphs into a full out guitar jam, ala Molly Hatchet or Blackfoot! 'All Of Them Witches' comes storming out of the gate like a lost 80s Maiden track. The 7:33 finale, 'Execution Tank' pretty much encompasses the entire repertoire in one song.
