Only the death of former singer Sabine Dunser has stopped the Austrians punctuality, virtually releasing an album without fail since the ’03 debut ("God’s Silence, Devil’s Temptation").

Sandra Schleret sounds like a cross between The Gathering and Sinergy. Like labelmates Leaves' Eyes, they’re devotees of the Beauty & The Beast format (cooing female, gruff/at times nearly death metal male counterpart), yet something has happened to the music, toughened up and generally avoids the classic intonations of the better-known husband and wife team (orchestrated ‘Warrior’s Tale’ being the exception). The a cappella begun leadoff track ‘Core Of Life’ turns into a decent power metal number (as are ‘Firefly’ and male dominated ‘Morning Star’). Definitely the better side of the band, as opposed to the turgid, native tongue drone of ‘Das Kleine Ungeheuer’ (one of two Austrian sung numbers).
