On their fourth album, the Finns rip a page from the Rhapsody playbook (OK, ‘Lord Of This Kingdom’ apes Manowar), utilizing a full orchestra, choir and, at times, over 300 individualized tracks on one song! Like their better known mentors, the music is fast pasted, occasionally neo-classical, but with a better grip of English. ‘Autumn Leaves’ is more symphonic than metal, although when the guitar and especially the vocals kick in, it sounds suspiciously like old Sonata Arctica (which ain’t a bad thing in my book). While the Japanese version contains a twelfth, bonus cut, everywhere else the disc ends with ‘Legacy Of Hate Pt 3.’, itself a four-part effort, with subtitled sections: ‘Candlelight’, ‘Shadowland’, the instrumental interlude ‘Chaos And Destruction’ and ‘Feelings’.
