Enjoyable little surprise debut from this Swedish amalgam of various third tier artists who recall 80s bands unafraid of using keyboards, yet don’t sacrifice guitars (ala Pretty Maids). There’s hint of progressive tendencies throughout and the piano of opening ‘Fallen Hero’ could be something off a post-Criss Oliva Savatage platter. Overall, a rare mix of melody and aggressive guitars. Andromeda singer David Fremberg adds the requisite bit of class.

The acoustic begun, but otherwise orchestral strings dominated ‘Life Is A Mystery’ ballad is a rare stumble (knew something like it was coming, but sort of shocked it’s so late in the running order, #9 of the dozen tracks). ‘I Never Could Say Goodbye’ and ‘Trouble Maker’ both contain some blazing guitar. Nice!
