Like fellow countrymen Evergrey, Sweden’s Silent Call also play a brand of melodic progressive metal. In 2006, with the addition of ex-Seventh Wonder and Elsesphere vocalist Andi Kravljaca, Silent Call's debut album, "Creations From A Chosen Path" (released in August 2008), featured 13 tracks of melodic metal with guest appearances by the likes of Göran Edman (Yngwie Malmsteen, Brazen Abbot) on vocals and Daniel Flores (Mind's Eye, Murder of My Sweet) on drums.

‘Every Day’ opens "Greed" with thick guitar riffs, dramatic keys, drums, and bass with Andi’s vocal changing nicely accommodating the music, seamlessly going from smooth to angry. Even though third song in, ballad ‘Through The Endless Night’, slows down the tempo it works in the album’s presentation given the Call’s style but ‘All That Might Be’ gets the energy level back on track. ‘Dream Tomorrow’ is a fav, crunchy guitar and a chunky beat, keyboards, makes this a metal slab. Keyboard and guitar lines are the driving force behind ‘Unbreakable’ and ‘Falling From Grace’. Many times on "Greed" I hear elements from Vanden Plas (‘When The Angels Call Your Name’) and Evergrey comes to mind on the track ‘The Wages Of Greed’.
Good stuff, I will have my eye on these guys.
