Four-tracker, featuring titular selection, lifted from the ’09 full-length "Night Is The New Day", a new track (‘Sold Heart’) and a pair of reworked numbers and two videos. The 4:32 ‘Sold Heart’ is a tender, nearly acoustic (sporadic guitar notes) appropriately melancholy, performance reminiscent of Jeff Buckley.

The initial third of the 5:36 Frank Default remix of ‘Day And Then The Shade’ is played straight, but then our favorite laidback Swedes are injected with a more upbeat vibe, courtesy of Blue Man Group inspired electronica. The concluding ‘Idle Blood’ is presented in acoustic form! Actually, it sounds like an old Beatles tune. Not sure how well this will go down with Katatonia’s rabid fandom, especially for so little "authentic" material. At reduced prices, guess it’s worthy of recommendation, but just barely.
