Might not be a more unlikely collaboration in all music: Turkish band Dreamtone (seek a CD deal) meet up with a Greek woman old enough to be their mother, if not grandmother (they’re quite young, she apparently much older) and this is their second effort.

Progressive, jazzy and classically tinged, it picks up where the debut left off, namely the guest male vocalist (Hansi Kursch and Tom Englund were amongst the initial draftees). This time around it’s Jon "Mountain King" Oliva (on lively ‘Invisible War’), ex-Bloodbound/ex-Tad Morose throat Urban Breed (‘Silence The Wolves’) and Edu Falaschi (Angra, on ‘Ashes To Fall’). Apart from the opening voiceover, a short, acoustic begun ‘Will Of God’ and a similarly mellow ‘Speak To Me’ (with Hammond organ!), the maternal voice plays a subservient role to the male throat. Piano is the main thrust of ‘Places Unknown’, while the concluding ‘Into The Horizon’ instrumental utilizes classical piano and acoustic guitar within its grandiose 5:09. First editions will include a 13th bonus cut, ‘The Forests Of Hope’.
