Who's the hero of the new/reformed German metallers? Some will credit former TT Quick frontman Mark Tornillo, for his admirable Udo Dirkschneider comparison, but truthfully, the dozen tracks showcase guitarist Wolf Hoffman. From the fiery opener 'Beat The Bastards', the six-string is front and center. Take a listen to the similarly blistering 'Locked And Loaded', 'Rollin Thunder' and 'No Shelter'. In the long run, these could easily invade the live, classics-only setlist, much moreso than the pair of pre-release songs ('Teutonic Terror' and 'The Abyss'), or the duo of previous unmemorable reunion discs; "Death Row" and "Predator". The tempo isn't pegged on 'Fast As A Shark' throughout, as there's some new twists in these old dogs (try the lengthiest tune, 7:33 'Shades Of Death'). 'Kill The Pain' begins acoustically, accompanied by symphonic strings and 'Brand New World' goes for a bluesy feel (closest to Tornillo's former employer), complete with some backing, gang vocal choruses. 'Pandemic (It's A Metal Disease)' rides on that typically Accept mid-tempo crunch, powered by Peter Baltes bass lines. 'No Shelter' provides a more upbeat, trademark clickety-clack melody. The closing 'Bucketful Of Hate' opens with sporadic musicbox notes, before returning to that trademark Hoffman/Frank/Baltes rhythm.

Griping cover art (blood drenched hand forming the victory/peace sign) seems inspired by one of the closing frames in Beneath The Planet Of The Apes.
