Goofy name, but these Swiss youngsters sound better than their moniker might infer. Combining the Sunset Strip energized, buzzsaw AC/DC influenced style perfected in the 80s by Rhino Bucket and Dirty Locks, Restock kick it up a notch, a little more nitro punk in the 2010 approach, especially ‘True Rock N Roller’, which is essentially an unreleased Ramones track. Given the limited (and accented) command of English, the lyrics are minimal (repetitive), yet no ballads in these seven odes to rock n roll clichés, with a heavy dose of women. As if limited for space (they’re not), the songs segue into one another. ‘Please Stop Talking Girl’ ends with the line, "Suck my dick and go away", then it’s on to the moaning of ‘Feel The Women’. Cowbell and engine rev kick off ‘Speedfreak’. Not bad for a band that’s been in existence for less than three years. Restock are obviously having fun, which comes through in spades.
