OK, I’m old (school), so on a Friday evening there’s an HBO expose about strippers and the new Holy Grail playing in the background…guess which gets my interest? After almost three decades of riffs vs. naked perky breasts, I admit, there’s a better chance the double bass rhythms and widdly guitars will get my attention! Especially when it’s a band I’ve already seen/enjoyed, like Holy Grail! Hey, I’ve heard some of the songs prior to this release, which is a luxury most don’t have… After that, I have no reservations about recommending them. From the twin guitar attack that starts the album, might as well stamp "BW&BK" on the disc! ‘Immortal Men’ is a little heavier and aggressive than one might expect, but after the short instrumental ‘Nocturne In D Minor‘ intermezzo, it’s hair flailing thrash to the end of the disc. If your head doesn’t start “banging” to the likes of ‘The Blackest Night’, you must be clinically dead! Times two!! ‘Requiem’, with its clean voice and almost impeccable guitar, is the calling card for this next generation flag bearer. I love this stuff!
