The idea of the so-named keyboardist Mistheria, this is a neo-classical collaboration that features a slew of guitarists, drummer John Macaluso (Ark/TNT and countless others), as well as vocalists John West (Royal Hunt), who handles the lion’s share of these 13 tracks, Rob Rock (Impellitteri) on ‘Lies & Deception’, Mark Boals (ex-Malmsteen/Ring Of Fire) on the Yngwie inspired ‘Metal Opera Pt 2’ and Lance King (Balance Of Power/Nightmare Records guru) for ‘Two Of Us’. Actually, two of the tracks are short (less than 90 seconds each) classical instrumentals, the strings of ‘Metal Opera Part1: AD 1982’ and ‘Prelude 18 In F Minor’.

Then there’s the piano and uber fast ‘Chopin Fantasy’, while almost six minutes in length, it provides a synopsis of the album as a whole. The introductory titular cut is one of the most robust numbers, but if you want scorching guitars, check out the initial 30 seconds of the otherwise pedestrian ‘Two Of Us’. The disc ends with a minimalistic ballad, but otherwise, pretty energetic and enjoyable!
