Not sure who this is targeted at, what with a complete DVD of the tartan dressed Wacken performance set to hit stores the same day. Four songs (a duplicate, extended symphonic version of the title track not included), including the Doro accompanied acoustic 'Ballad Of Mary' and Blind Guardian frontman Hansi Kursch helping out 'Rebellion', alongside Van Canto as backing choir. While both can be seen on the forthcoming video, complete with crowd sing-alongs, these are not live tracks. They were recorded late last year, after the aforementioned festival gig. The second cut even hauls out the bagpipes! The traditional instrumentation is also present on 'Highland Farewell', which is nearly devoid of lead throat Chris Boltendahl's unique pipes. Why? He explains "These ('Coming Home' is given similar treatment) are some kind of Karaoke versions for the fans, just a small bonus. Perhaps, from time to time, it could be interesting to listen to our music without my voice". The backing vocals, again courtesy of the Van Canto clan, are evident for each chorus.
