Split Heaven - Street Law

Third album from Mexican traditional metallers, albeit thefirst in three years. During the intervening years, they’ve appeared at Wackenand Keep It True festivals (Germany) and refined their high energy (frenetic)delivery. The band will perform at the Warriors Of Metal event in Ohio this June. The vocals are very high pitched and often struggle with the English language, but Split Heaven make up for those inadequacies with near thrashintensity. Check out ‘Servants Of The Night’!

A slow building thumpof bass introduces ‘Night Of The Jaguar’ and ‘Road ToNowhere’ recalls the Iron Maiden worship of their earlier works. Wow,what a trill! ‘Red Light District’ shows off some twin guitarinterplay, while closer ‘The Obscure’ kicks off with a run aroundthe drum kit, just a warm-up for the full out sprint to the end by the rest ofthe band! Still a little too unpolished and off-kilter for anyone other thanunderground speed/traditional metalheads, but headed in the right direction.
