Resurrected 80's rockers (minus Tommy Thayer, who's a little busy these days) issue a 14 track, old school platter, choked full of simply constructed odes to that vaunted era’s accesses (try ‘Candy’,a reworked ‘Cherry Pie’). Hell yeah! After a plodding bass line, the lead track ‘Monkey’ starts with a cat house strut, the first words out of Jamie St. James mouth being "I’ve got a pile of bull shit on my mind".

There are hints of Kiss in both‘Target’ and ‘Hail Hail’ (Gene Simmons helped the band in their heyday). The lively ‘C’mon’ and title cut even sound a little like Paul Stanley! ‘Jamie’s Got The Beer’ is a 54 second acoustic piss-take on the Aerosmith track of a similar name.‘Tripping 45’ is a likewise short acoustic instrumental. The concluding 1:19, voice modulated ‘Tribute To Hawking’ makes fun of the ALS physicist Stephen Hawking. Make no mistake, this is a rock album,‘Fools Bleed’ and the acoustic begun ‘Falling Down’ being the lone power ballads of the bunch. ‘Angry Drunk Son Of ABitch’ will not only look good on the back of concert shirts, but could be a phrase that unites fans old and new, even if it recalls Angry Kid Joe more than classic BnB.
