I love Gamma Ray (and their fraternal twin Helloween), and I expected more music from this release. 2003’s "Skeletons In The Closet" live album (which was the inspiration for this Ep), was great because half the album was songs Gamma Ray don’t often play. And as it sais in the liner notes for "Skeletons & Majesties", "While going through our previous albums we found that there is still a ton of songs that we have either never or barely played in concert". So why here do you only get really three new songs?

‘Hold Your Ground’ from the debut "Heading For Tomorrow" and ‘Brothers’ off 1993’s "Insanity and Genius" are nice surprises delivered with new found energy and pack an extra punch...but that’s it???? ‘Send Me A Sign’ and ‘Rebellion In Dreamland’, called "Majesties", acoustic helps to appreciate the melody and chorus, but wouldn’t you rather have some more rarely played re-recorded tunes? I would. And the “bonus tracks”, including the rare track 'Wannabees' previously only released on the 'To The Metal!' 7’’ is ok, but ‘Brothers’ is only “extended” by a minute (waste), and the Karaoke version of ‘Rebellion In Dreamland’ has an extra 10 minutes of dead air before the karaoke fun at the end, which isn’t all that fun.

Not cool guys. Make up for it by bringing that totally different setlist to the U.S.
