After a short key intro ‘Insomnia’, it’s straight into the galloping rhythms, punctuated by plenty of speedy, fanciful guitar runs and high pitched vocals (see: ‘Lost In The Dead End’). ‘Taste My Pain’ is a more belabored (relative only to Eagleheart’s top end) mid-tempo romp. The title cut is the most frenetic selection, while solitary keyboard notes introduce the gradually building ‘Burned By The Sun’. When not stretching his vocal chords towards the stratosphere, possesses a rather gritty timbre, heard most prominently on ‘Glass Mountain’.
