This…or a nail in the foot. This…or a glass of sour milk. This…or a smack in the face. This…or a rattlesnake in the shower??? Lol, actually, I might take the nail over listening to this album ever again. I’m assuming this noisy crap only sells in North America to the kiddies who shop at Hot Topic stores because I expect much more from the Europeans and their taste in hard rock and heavy metal.

All these screamo, metalcore, mathcore (Dillinger Escape Plan, hahaha), emo bands, its all just a bunch of noise. Why is everyone just screaming and yelling at me, sometimes with two or more different vocal deliveries in one band (This or The Apocalypse). What is even the purpose of the faggy clean singing during ‘You Own No One but You’?, when the rest of the song is just yelling. Are we (and I’m not lumping the entire country in this, but its gotta be more than the minority) that angry in this country that this crap actually sells Mp3s, albums, and/or ticket sales? Kids, are you really that gullible, or just that tone deaf as to what real (well, maybe that’s asking too much) or even good hard heavy music is?

Metalcore, screamo, noisecore, all a trend, for the immature younger ears with a short attention span, so luckily This Or The Apocalypse and the like won’t be around too much longer. My rating is a 4 for moments where the music has either a decent riff, lead melody line, other musical inclusion like a keyboard or switch in an arrangement, but nothing Is ever fully realized because everything changes so often to begin with. And why do all these bands look like they should either be on a college campus or working on my car? Lol!

Back to listening to the new Kamelot, Testament, Firewind, Grave Digger, Jorn, Accept, Threshold, Korpiklaani, and Jack Blades, because This just sucks!
