For a skinny little dude, singer Gumby, has set of pipes many would kill for. Add to the fact he has great annunciation in his wide range of vocals. It helps keep you connected to what’s happening like on 'My Vaccine'. Straight forward song title aside, 'Get over It' is full of some good time changes and a gear shifting ending with some keen solo action. Guitarists Hiran Deraniyagala and Tony Asta keep this up on 'Flesh and Bone' and 'Never Coming Back', they'll be part of future guitar duo history. Even producer Jason drops a solo into the mix on 'Beast' for good measure. Following the departure of long time drummer Mike Kreger they tapped ex-The Black Dahlia Murder skinsman Shannon Lucas. On 'The Will to Overcome' he lays down some insane grooves and peppered through out is his style of blasting that adds so much to the music. Bassist Don Slater shines on ‘Never-ending Night' and flies all over the fret board and shows you bassist don’t need a pick. This band is serious but you can hear the fun they have in playing. This album makes me want to see them live.
