Nice to see the Grim Reaper moniker active once again, even if it's only vocalist Grimmett. There are no blood pumping, “See You In Hell” quality tracks amongst this dozen, as the music is mid-tempo 80s Brit metal, but little in the way of dynamics. That said, if this release means he'll do another round of touring, bringing out material from the initial pair of records, then I'm all for it. Plenty of guitar on the likes of ‘Reach Out’, ‘Wings Of Angels’ and ‘Blue Murder’, but on the opener, the vocals are double tracked (one normal, one slightly higher = Grimmett). |

If one had to compare this to something off the debut, either the pedestrian ‘Now Or Never’ and/or ‘Run For Your Life’ would stylistically, come closest. Not a ringing endorsement. ‘From Hell’ threatens to take off, but never really does, Grimmett's gritty voice straining under the increased pace, from a walk to a jog. The syncopated drumming ‘Call Me In the Morning’ is the lone “speedster” (a relative term), although the lyrics are unrelated drivel: “Take two of these and call me in the morning. “Sticks and stones, may break my bones”. Ugh!
