Belying its rudimentary construct, "On Iron Wing" is something of a mash-up between (Di'Anno) Maiden and Grand Magus, adding prerecorded warning sirens. ‘Devils In Waiting’ is a more refined option, beginning with subtle guitar and plenty of ride cymbal, very Metal Church-ish, apart from the sporadic falsetto. Odd there's not more speed/urgency within the eight tracks, as mid-tempo seems to be the pace of choice. That said, ‘Tease N Torture’ revs things up, even if the lyrics could put them under the microscope these days. The songs end abruptly and what seems like a momentary pause is often the terminus, even if it feels a little short. A chugging ‘Sweating Out The Poison’ (can almost feel the riff in just saying the titular phrase) sees a brief return of the higher vocal register. ‘Back Alley Tokyo Woman’, the title says it all, doesn't it? Ultimately concludes with unexpected jazzy Black Sabbath instrumental flourish. The closing ‘Future is Passed’ is built around a bass solo. In the germination of eggs, this one's a little underdeveloped.
