Upon listening after the atmospheric minute long title track intro on this twenty eight minute E.p., ‘Street Killer’ kicks into full throttle Painkiller era Judas Priest meets Helstar’s “A Distant Thunder” speed metal. It’s the combination of both the aggressive guitars and shred work, with the beat, tempo, riff changes, catchy hook, plus the high end (but not overly done) Halford and James Rivera vocals. Singer Dini does balance between his mid and highs. Another intro, ‘Thinking Of You’, sets a tone before the punchy mid tempo ‘Without Warning’ which rolls into a kick in the beat change for a high energy ride out like an Evil Invaders thrasher. ‘Trail of Fire Relentless Passion’ is eleven minutes but doesn’t feel like it, pure “Sentinel”/”Night Crawler” worship, includes mid-way moody clean guitars and sound effects for dynamics and melodic vocal before picking up the pace towards the end. ‘I Command’ has an epic Iced Earth chug heavy punch to close out the album.
Looking forward to a full length.
