9th studio album from Swedish traditional metal pack Wolf who have been around for over twenty, yes twenty years. They even played show here in North America (which I saw) in 2003 for the Bravewords Six Pack festival. Niklas Stålvind on vocals and guitar has been the one constant throughout the lineup changes over the years, and he has maintained the sound and style. If you are an Iron Maiden, Priest, Sabbath, Dio, Saxon, Accept fan (who's not) then you should have been supporting Wolf too for years. If not, start now!

First single 'Dust' maintains the great qualities of heavy metal with two guitars, Pontus Egberg (King Diamond, At The Movies) laying down moving bass lines, and solid mid tempo drums. Stålvind has a unique melodic tone with a slight snarl and edge. 'Visions For The Blind' has this great break allowing some space for the chorus. Nice accenting guitar melody for 'The Time Machine' and the chorus. Three minutes of guitar and bass following each other for 'Evil Lives', fade in to 'Seek The Silence', title track half way through are they talking about the skull and hooded figure on the artwork? Steady drum and riff arrangement on 'The Ill faded Mr. Mordrake'. 'Into The Black Hole' brings me back the album "The Black Flame" and bonus track 'Trail By Fire' is a solid ride out of the album.
With all eleven songs there's enough changes in riffs without losing the drive of the primary one, drum beats, per song that each one avoids repetition and keeps you engaged for the chorus.
