Third album from Belgian demons Evil Invaders, "Shattered Reflection" keeps the speed and thrash metal, for the most part, going full throttle. There are a couple twists. 'Hissing In Crescendo' attacks with ferocity without losing the melodic guitar accents, tempo changes, and solo section. Singer/guitarist Joe's voice has personality and he knows how and where to add inflections and punctuations.

He kind of has a Bobby Blitz (Overkill), meets Steve Souza (Exodus) quality, see 'My World'. 'Die For Me' slows the attack for more attention to the lyric delivery.
Single/video 'In Deepest Black' was an unlikely first choice, not fast, very melodic in the vocal and verses with more dramatics in the chorus, and could have been a Sanctuary song. 'Sledgehammer Justice' a barn burner like 80's Exciter or Razor. 'Forgotten Memories' another more melodic idea which should have kept the singing voice consistent throughout instead of going back and forth between the screeching. Creepy minute intro 'Realm Of Shadows' should have just been included with 'Eternal Darkness' which is the strongest arrangement. Excellent leads behind the riff and rhythm section which makes a killer switch and starts banging away, rides out with a old Maiden influence. 'Aeon' an earthy new age tinged tuneful piece, think someone was listening to Metallica's Orion? Sets the tone for six minute 'The Circle' wicked vocals that switches gears on a dime.
I like this band, one of the names from the new generation to check out. I mean, they already have a live album/DVD out after two albums. They are doing something right.
